Well! The Muslims figured it out: Europe is the cancer, Islam is the answer. Or at least Islam predicts this conclusion anyway… but not just about Europe (apparently Buddhists are bad too… now that’s crazy…). Coming from an American perspective, the sign this guy’s holding might not make sense. There have been many, many problems in and around Europe.

This reminds me that I need to write an essay about the world’s likely future in general. I’ve spent a lot of time working it all out by probability based on social historics and current trends, and save any major catastrophic socially upsetting event or (a cascade of them) I’m pretty sure I’ve got the general swing of the future worked out. Its more than belongs in a blog post, however, and will require considerable time to structure it properly (you can probably tell by now I’m not the most organized of writers…), but its yet another essay that is in bad need of writing. Unfortunately it is a little scary. But then again, so are most the things Eric Arthur Blair (AKA George Orwell) and Winston Churchill had to say before WWII kicked off, though that did not make them wrong. (I find this piece funny, though…)

Its funny, people at that time thought the world was all screwed up already with a civil war going on in Spain and a horribly bloody, backstabby revolution going on in Eastern Europe and Russia… but most folks refused to see WWII coming. Funny that we’re there all over again, and its Europe again… more to follow on that though…

And so… In other, somewhat less consequential but much more immediate news, here is a heap of good news for the Democrats in America. This will likely be short lived, but they will play it up as loudly as possible. Just wait until folks start talking about this one on the air 4 hours from now on American and British self-loathing talkathons… The blog postings and op-ed pieces should be classically dismal as well.
